Not much to say about this match, except that it was pretty fun to watch. Plenty of chances, plenty of goals, from Guatemala anyway. Chapines beat up on the Spice Boys all match long.
I hate to say it, but Grenada was one of the most over-matched teams I've seen in an international tournament. Even Guadeloupe played better, and they played like half of the group stage down a man. The 2011 Gold Cup was certainly a tough task for Grenada.
Anyway, Chapines really grabbed the match by the horns from the opening whistle. They managed 4 goals, 2 in each half. They were electric in the attack pretty much all night.
The win wasn't enough to ease Chapines into 2nd place ahead of Honduras, but finishing better than El Salvador out of group A puts them through to the next round anyway. Grenada was officially eliminated with an 0-3 record, 0 points, and a -14 Goal Differential. Oh, and a coach that wore a backwards ball cap like a street thug. I don't know man.
