Manchester United today confirmed one of the more significant transfers of the period so far. They announced the Blackburn defender Phil Jones has officially been sold to them.
The deal is supposedly a five year deal worth about 16.5 million pounds. 19 year old Jones has been playing a starring role with the England U-21 side. Liverpool were also interested but apparently Jones said he wouldn't go anywhere but Old Trafford.
