The speculation is now over. Tonight MLS and the LA Galaxy have confirmed that David Beckham will return to the club. He signed a new 2 year deal. MLS does not discuss terms of the deals, but obviously Beckham will remain a DP.
The 36 year old had been tempted by several European clubs including free spending Paris St. Germain, the relegation threatened QPR, and Tottenham Hotspur. He cited the fact that his family is comfortable in California and the growth of the game in the US as reasons why he wanted to stay in MLS.
I'm not a Galaxy fan in the slightest, but I enjoy watching world class talent. Welcome back, David.
