Macheda Joins QPR On Loan.

So here we have it, the January transfer window is now officially open, and we get to see which of these rumors had any truth and which ones were just wishful thinking supporter's fodder.

It's only January 2nd and some of the wheels, albeit not the big ones, are already turning. Queens Park Rangers announced today the Manchester United striker Federico Macheda will be joining them at Loftus Road for the remainder of the campaign. He even saw action as a substitute in today's 1-2 loss to Norwich.

QPR manager Neil Warnock admitted that Macheda is obviously still a part of future plans at Old Trafford, however he feels that giving him the opportunity to place first team football with QPR will benefit both clubs.

Macheda is a former Lazio player who has four goals with Manchester United. He went on a similar loan spell last year to Sampdoria.
