These MLS summer friendlies are totally meaningless, and Vertelney even does away with the argument that they're huge money makers. We need to get out of this. Manchester United thrashed Seattle 7-0. I don't care if 6 of the goals came against Seattle's reserves. I'd hate to see RSL get killed 7-0 no matter who is wearing the jersey. The crest, the team, the league all collectively looked horrible, plus, as the article points out, a casual fan isn't going to notice that the reserves were in.
