Match Blurb: FC Dallas vs. Columbus Crew

I'm not really sure what to say about this one. I don't necessarily enjoy watching Columbus or Dallas. Actually, I don't mind watching Dallas so much, but their announcers are some of the biggest homers in MLS. Yes, FC Dallas is having a great season, especially considering their injuries, but to listen to these guys, Brek Shea is the next Pele and the All Star first XI should just be Dallas's first XI. I really got tired of hearing "Oh yeah, this guy should be an All Star."

As for the match, it was alright. Columbus decided they were gonna try to park the bus to a certain extent, and it caused a lot of frustration. It was a very physical match, with 6 yellows in total. Andy Iro picked up two yellows for the Crew and was sent off on the Red Card train.

The first half of the grudge match ended up 0-0, but the second half was the FC Dallas show, the Brek Shea show more specifically. Shea opened fire on Hesmer with regularity, and in the 58th minute, Hesmer spilled a rebound right in front of Shea, who tipped it in to give Dallas a 1-0 lead. It was his 8th of the season, tying him for the league lead. Jackson added a great goal in the 76th minute to provide the final margin of victory at 2-0.

Another great game for Dallas, another underwhelming performance from the Crew, who might find themselves going backward in the Eastern conference table, depending on if Houston can get their act together.
