My thoughts on the Saturday night starts for MLS. I'll be attending the RSL vs. Houston match at Rio Tinto. Looking forward to it.
Real Salt Lake vs. Houston Dynamo
I'm really looking forward to this match. RSL begins life after Javi 2011, and I think Houston is going to make some noise, despite coming off two straight losses. The big question is, if Warner comes in for Javi, can he handle it, and how big of a roll will Alvarez and Williams play? If RSL can keep their MF in hand, which I think they can, they should eek out a win against a good Houston team.
LA Galaxy vs. Sporting KC
I'm going to rename the Galaxy the Donovans, seeing as how he does pretty much everything for them. Gosh, they might really miss him when Gold Cup starts. However, he'll be there tomorrow and Sporting KC stinks, so three points to the Galaxy. Where's Ochocinco when you need him?
San Jose Earthquakes vs. Columbus Crew
The Crew keep getting results, and San Jose continues to have trouble. Wondo is still playing well though, and he always gives them a chance. This might be a good one to watch, and I'll call it a draw.
Seattle Sounders vs. Portland Timbers
Everybody is tuning into this match, and they should. Red Bulls and Galaxy gave us one half of good footy last week, this match, being a real rivalry game, might give us two halves. However, I think Portland is still gonna have trouble on the road and Sounders will win. This match is great for MLS and US Soccer in general though.
