Here's my thoughts on the early starts in MLS this Saturday, May 28.
Toronto FC vs. Philadelphia Union
The Union managed to get their offense on track in their last match versus Chicago, and managed to keep their defensive effort up as well. Ruiz was a lot more active, but still hardly sign of Le Toux. For TFC, who knows? I think the Union will be the favorite here, but I'm betting TFC can salvage a point at home.
Vancouver Whitecaps vs. New York Red Bulls
The Red Bulls come into this one stumbling a bit, after a loss and two draws. Meanwhile, Vancouver hasn't won since their first game. They've played some decent footie from time to time though. NY will be missing Marquez, so I'm going out on a limb here and saying the 'Caps will pick up all 3 at home. Probably dumb, I know.
Columbus Crew vs. Chivas USA
This match stunk earlier this year, and my guess is it will stink again. Give the Crew a goal and the three points.
New England Revolution vs. LA Galaxy
So Revs have struggled all year, even though signing a certain USA midfielder was supposed to be a big deal. Meanwhile, LA eeked out a win on Wednesday with a Landycakes PK. I don't expect the Galaxy will need to count on PKs against the Revs though. Three points to Los Galaxicos.
