Some big games and big moments in MLS on Saturday, here's my rundown.
Real Salt Lake vs. Chivas USA.
Chivas head coach Robin Fraser used to be an assistant at RSL. Normally I would pull for him to do well, but RSL needs a good performance here after back to back losses. RSL is having some injury issues up front as Paulo Jr. is likely out and Saborio is still having issues as well. I think RSL will like being back in front of their fans in league and pick up 3 points.
Toronto FC Vs. Houston Dynamo
How can you not like Houston in this one? They've been playing pretty darn well lately, despite losing to Colorado at home last week to two fluke goals. TFC has been in the toilet, and if they don't show up looking like they care tomorrow, Houston will feast upon them. I'll take Dynamo for three points.
New England Revolution vs. Colorado Rapids.
So remember a couple of weeks ago when the Revs got that one guy that Chivas didn't get, and everybody crucified Chivas? Well, last week Chivas crucified the Revs. *oops* Meanwhile, Colorado picked the aforementioned lucky win in Houston, but lost Omar Cummings in the process. Depth? Where? Look for the Revs to come back strong and pick up three points here.
Columbus Crew vs. Seattle Sounders
So, Seattle owns the Crew in Columbus, yeah? Well, they owned DC in RFK too, so I'm not buying those stats based on a whole two years worth of data. Crew have been in great form, but they let Vancouver back in last week. I think they'll Seattle in this week too, and this will be a draw.
DC United vs. FC Dallas
DC picked up a big three points earlier this week against Seattle, and Charlie Davies continues to be inspiring. FC Dallas had a HUGE win against LA though, and Shea looks to be coming on strong. I'll say each team gets a point out of this one.
